    Colombo, Jan 13 (PTI) The two suspected gunmen, who carried out an attack on a bus carrying supporters of common opposition Sri Lankan Presidential candidate Sarath Fonseka were arrested today, the police said.

The Presidents Office yesterday stated that the woman killed in Tangalle and identified as a supporter of General Sarath Fonseka was in fact an SLFP supporter. It claimed that the 55-year-old Kusumawathi Kuruppuarchchi had a number of pictures of the President in her home and her entire family was in support of the President. With regard to the shooter the office of the President claimed that “he was mentally deranged.”(D.S)

This is really funny. who is really mentally deranged? The dughter of the woman was interviewed yesterday on TV and she said the mom was a UNP activist. According to President Office anyone who has the Presidents pictue at home is a SLFP supporter. I guess that makes me an SLFP supporter since i have a calander printed by the Lotteries Board with not just the picture of the President but everyone in the royal family.

PLus it seems that he Presidents office is admitting that SLFP supporters are supporting the opposition candidate.
