RIYADH: The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) is asking Riyadh to conduct a full inquiry into the murder of Balakrishnan Dharshani, 26, a maid from Kandy who was working in Hofuf, Eastern Province.

Has the SL Bureau of Foreign Employment set an insurance scheme to cover expatriate SL workers? Not that insurance payments will make up for the loss of a life, but there will be some compensation at least.

The answer could very well be NO since SL government usually doesn't work for the best interest of Sri Lankans. It is a group of self serving entity first. If 25% of the death benefits goes to political leaders pocket, appropriate schemes will be setup to benefit the living left behind. _________________ "What is left when honor is lost?" |
