Post Sri Lanka dismisses EU trade move
EU wants to install a puppet govt in Sri Lanka who dance to their tune. Their recent threats about suspending GSP+ etc. will boomerang on the 27th January. There is no contest in this Election. Opposition's only manthra is corruption (and they themselves are the most corrupt in entire history of Sri Lanka). I would be surprised if General gets more than 40%. UNP got 26% and JVP got 2% after all these Provincial Council Elections. Therefore it would be a Herculian task for him to even get 40% considering the fact President is more popular than the govt. General's daily foolish utterances won't help his cause either. Only cult followers of UNP and JVP still harbour a victory for General.

President Robert Mugabe is also a scoundrel that resorts to patriotism when he cannot deliver on good governance.

what a bogus statement. Is implementation of 17th amendment of the constitution to which MR himself voted and sworn to uphold be classified as foreign "strategic interference"? can someone explain?
