Post A crying shame!- An Editorial

It is with shock and dismay that we note a minister’s wife serving a prison term for double murder and two foreigners jailed for heroin smuggling have walked to freedom on the International Women’s Day thanks to a presidential pardon. Ironically, Mary Juliet Monica Fernando, (wife of Public Estate Management and Development Minister Milroy Fernando), was sentenced to death in 2005 for abducting and murdering two women and her death penalty was later commuted to life imprisonment! That was how Sri Lanka celebrated a day sacred to the womenfolk!

Oh Please, relax. In Srilanka as you the publisher knows and cohorts to, to criticize the Govt now mounts to " treason ". Either you are with them or you are against them.

This article clearly will puts you in bad shape. Unless of course you know who behind all the murders and the murderers and you will get a " pass ".

Too bad, So sad. Indeed.

Convicted for murder and walks away within 4 years on women’s day, they could have released all the women prisoners.  This will make the crime rate 0%
