What are the implications of this ban? I thought LTTE was banned in every practical sense! We have been arresting them and bombing them for the last 25 years, We have destroyed 90% of LTTE. What more to ban? I must say the presidential proclamation banning the LTTE should sound familiar to people like Weerawansa since JVP has done pretty much everything that we claim LTTE has done to warrent a ban. Now they are in democratic politics calling themselves patriots.
