So what? This is a war. In the west, coalition forces kill and keep on killing, the innocent and others. Then they call it collateral damage as if the human beings are just some kind of a dispensable gizmo. WHY?

Sri Lankan navy ships intercepted a flotilla of Tamil Tiger boats during Thursday's three-hour sea battle, sinking three of them and killing at least 16 rebels.

This must be the first real true news regarding sea events in past 3 or 4 months.
As we all know that this is how tiger’s normal exercise while unloading their arms or for a serious mission towards a military target. When they have a large shipment, it is sea tigers duty to safeguard the area, or they gather in numbers for the special attack mission.

I had big doubt in all previous news items about destroyed LTTE ships.
Since,
1) Most of those ships reported destroyed in the day time [Tigers never or on the odd occasion bring arm ships during day time. Simply cannot believe that LTTE are so stupid to move in during day time knowing of super power of Navy’s monitoring systems or their air surveillance]
2) Most of those ships destroyed were not near tiger bases or on the route towards LTTE bases.
3) Also they distract or deliberately behave badly (or fight with Navy)  in different area to where the expecting shipment route
4) Two ships on same day at same place was the peak hiccup from the military spokesman
5) All those destroyed have no sea tiger support was hard to digest
6) Surprise surprise, when a ship destroyed near Galle, navy commander said that some un exploded artilleries were floating on the water (!)
As far as I am concern
-all those images and news were just framed in such a way to attract south and made them believe Navy is having upper hand in the sea.
-If any destroyed, they all illegal fishing / drugs / people smuggling ships or just computer imaginary ships. I do wonder why no tiger.net giving any validation for those events at all.
I am still remembering the Colombo port attack drama and later the way Negombo fishing community came out with their sad story behind that attack.
It is Sinhalese media that makes tigers the “brilliant fighters” and “stupid terrorist profound genius”.!! Government should learn to bring actual fact and real information and forget about tigers…!!!

Brilliant, Dear Brilliant. I think you are spot on. All these attacks by the SLN are nothing but computer generated photos and clips to win the south. In the same tone, attack on KIA must also be computer-generated event and may be some friendly fire to gain sympathy from the south to cover up bogus destruction of ships carrying arms. With this brilliant deduction, GOSL media guys will learn a hard lesson and only publish real events and photos. Thanks for saving tax payer's money.

Post Re : Ganga's analysis
I have to agree with you Ganga. The fact that LTTE did not make any statement about their ships being destoryed is a further indication that these are all fabriacted stories.

While being on the same subject I suggest you do a careful analysis of the videos regarding the so called capture of the Kokkadicholei LTTE camp. You'll see that there are lots of loop holes in those videos/images too. First of all it does not look like a tiger camp, but a luxary hotel desgned by a interior decorator with a very poor taste. Secondly they have included some imgaes of a distilary, which was an obvious give away because any profound genius knows that booze is prohibited by LTTE. There is no way that a distilary can operate in LTTE held areas, yet alone in a LTTE camp.

I dont know about you, but I'm begining to feel that even Maavil aaru, Sampoor and Vaharei are also the works of the digital animation unit of the SLA.

I couldn't agree with you more. Mavil Aauu/ Vakarai are nothing but clever computer animation. When I am reflecting back may be even the Kebithigollewa and two bus bombs are nothing but illusions created by SLA media unit. The wisdom is dawning upon us now though little late.
