The rebels have to be eliminated altogether by destroying the main centre of activity, namely where that stupid Sun Goat lives and commands. SL is such a tiny dot on the map and it seems our government still cannot pinpoint the exact location of LTTE nerve centre and destroy it is a surprise. With the latest technology, it cannot be “rocket science” to locate the tiger den, unless some in GOSL are interested in prolonging the war for personal interests. If India is ready to help in setting up radar monitoring of SL air space, then I suppose they also could help GOSL in the above area for their own safety. Time is of essence to both sides, the rebels as well as GOSL. However, it seems that the rebels are getting ahead with all the constraints they are facing from world over – Courage and Commitment to a false reason, but they are certainly scoring the points. Shame to all in GOSL

Well, Lion, This is a BIG 'IF'.  We are taking about the 10 boats, arms shipments, how can they operate without India's knowledge?  If they can't help us to monitor the sea, how can they help us to protect the sky?

India is more concerned about the vote bank in Tamilnadu rather than the security of Sri Lanka. Remember how all these started (training camps and all that)durning Indira Gandhi's time?

We already have Tigers, so welcome to Lions too... But, typically I have found lions roars too much and do little hunting. It waits in Scarberia for the lioness or the hyenas to go for the kill. The Lion seems to think the Vanni is small as his 'hood in Canada and it is the same as the size of a spek on the google map. Lions need to visit the Vanni and get a sense of the terrain. Even Tigers, who are more efficient hunters, cannot control those area as effectively. Imagine a roaring lion tring to catch a Tiger by the tail in the Vanni?

The air attack was followed by a suicide bombing in the east. The attacks Monday and Tuesday killed 11 people and wounded 36, prompting the government to issue the call for peace talks. The rebels have not responded to the government's suggestion.

What is the picture that GoSL taking cross over news media ? Have they confused or trying confusing us, so that their confusion is go under.

It is time, AP should change or add their footer with “world's first insurgent group to use air power“ to their existing “The rebels launched their fight for an independent homeland for the country's 3.1 million Tamils in 1983 after decades of discrimination by the majority Sinhalese.”
Also leave some room for adding “world's first insurgent group to use submarine" .....
