    In the week when the cease-fire would have completed half a decade, there was very little to celebrate in Sri Lanka. The two signatories to the truce, the Sri Lankan Government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (  LTTE) have never been as close to open war in the past five years as they now are.

There is no point of discussing whethr SL is going to war and certainly its no big deal, as so long as the terrorist exist with there evil motives to carve out any separate state to run their illegal businesses we should be on the offensive, and this is a national crisis, which evrey politician that has been in power so far is responsible,

therefore the bottom line remains the current actions of the military is whether they will eventually hold to the pressure from the international community that is trying to use SL governments War against terror as a lever to meddle with internal issues and anchor their agendas in SL and whether military is capable to take on the terrorist that present themself in all forms including the custom's infiltrations, sinhalese recruitment, business communitiy involvement and political corruptions.

I hope our president will have the wisdom and the courage to wheather against these elements and emerge victorious. May the blessings of all religeions be with him to do the right thing.
