Post Dear LTTE supporters...
Dear LTTE supporters living a comfortable life in western countries,

A large sum of funds that you contibuted to LTTE in order to plant bombs in the country has been  wasted with the capture of these explosives by the SL security forces. Please contirbute more money from your next month's pay cheque to the "freedom fighters" so they can cover up for this loss, and bring in more C4 explosives to be used in bus bombs, market bombs, road side bombs etc etc. In the mean time you can live with confidence in your respective adopted motherlands, knowing that none of these bomb blasts will affect you and your families, but will be only affecting the useless lives of those people living in Sri Lanka.

Isn't that a HUGE amount of explosives ? Can anyone tell us what it would mean in layman's terms ? For example how many building of the size of the BMICH would that blow up ?

Just wait until they put it on display there and it explodes like the landmine did.

690 kilos of C4 is equivalent to 1 tonne of TNT.
Hiroshima bomb was equivalent of 20,000 tonnes of TNT.
Guess, if Hiroshima is 20,000 times of BMICH then 690 Kg of C4 can flatten BMICH.

Tusker,
Did you  intentionally give BMICH as an example? I had forgotten about the landmine accident.

Good one, SJ.

Jaffna Tamil people are getting sick and tierd of the LTTE terrorists and the information flow to the army there is unbeleiveable. This seizure of C-4 is a classic example of specific info from Civilians to the SLA.

Every week, army capture small arms hidden in houses, farms etc., upon information from public. Lot of LTTE 'informants' hiding among the civilains in Jaffna are being taken out these days. These 'sleepers' are the most dangerous of the terrorists.

Tamils in Sri Lanka gradually understand that thecia thalavar is ruining thier lives.
