The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the dominant party of the ruling United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) coalition, here Saturday endorsed a decision by the party leader and President Mahinda Rajapakse to sack two front line ministers and a junior minister from the government, SLFP officials said.

MR is on top of the world (I mean SriLanka).
He can create ministers, deputy ministers, and similarly unmake any of them. (don't need any undated letters)
he can make or break MoUs.
He can make any minister (or ex-prez) exile by removing all security.
he can demolish a democratic parliament opposition overnight
even he can dissolve the parliament at same speed.
he can award any government project whoever he likes.
he can have all of his family serving any of government posts he likes (brothers, sons, grandson, grandma, servant etc..)  Razz
Nobody can challenge him in courts.
who ever did it, before he was president, can be punished now (like helping hambantota)Embarassed
(is there anything that he cannot do ?)

He is our superman, he is our benevolent dictator.Confused
long live JR. Very Happy

The LTTE has many faults but hysterics and homosexuality don't count among them. Please keep up the cheap insults though, they save us loads of time having to read or think about your other posts.

1. Basil Rajapaske is a goatish individual with no intellect.
2. He is known to have butted himself at each and every contract and deal  that the government has to pass.
3. He was known as Mister Ten Percent with Tsunami aid.
4. Gotabaya was a war hero and was made to suffer under preme.

MR has taken a great decision. We don't need useless ministers any more. This time we should support Mahinda without any condition. For me always country first.

Post Who they Are
Most of the politicians in sri lanka are SELFISH,POWER SEEKING,BIG HEADED profound genius, They'll do any . thing to get MONEY & POWER,incidents in recent years had proven it,
Those who liked the foot of ranill now likes MR's foot.I still remember how they praised ranil at that time. When we send some one to the parliament we should send people with moral values ,education and wisdom, like in england or america.Do't ever talk in favour of a party because there is no party at the end only money & power

Let us see whether he takes the other 50 'great decisions' to complete the process.

How to cal the decision of MR in this regard. Its it a wise good decision or can I callit the 'most ungreatful' act of the year" or to call it the stupid and unrealistic action of the person who cliaims to be a practical man.
What ever it be one thing is becomming certain that this man is able to by pass any agreement, any MoUs that he himself had got into withing a faction of a minute. He respects no 'understanding or agreement'. But who advises him to do so? we know who they are. But...
What to do we made the mistake either by our silence or by our election. We the voters have to do something in this regard. Let us kick them when they come back to us. Are we really and sincerely ready for it........................

Well put it this way. Mangala WAS allowed to keep his ministry, and he was part of Mahinda’s inner circle after the election. Something happened along the way that made MR distrust him. All of a sudden, Mangala was not invited to national security meetings. I can only speculate but, my suspicion is MR suspected Mangala of leaking confidential information to his former boss for ulterior motives. If Mangala's conscience does not agree with party policy or cannot get himself to stay loyal to its leader, then by all means resign. In my mind there is one person who deserves most blame for break down of the MOU and bi-partisan approach to solve the ethnic problem. If Chandrika Bandaranayake did not use her puppet in the govt to meddle in its affairs, there would not have been a reason for a jumbo cabinet nor for breaking the MOU.
