Post Well done forces !
There is no place for barbaric terrorists in this humane world. All should be grateful for the forces of legitimate elected multi-ethnic Government of Sri Lanka for rescuing innocent lives
from the clutches of barbarian terrorists LTTE.

Talk is cheap.  We have been fighting and making grand claims for 24 years now.  In the meantime the Politicians are filling their personal coffers and corruption has reached new heights.  What will the end result be? NO ONE will begrudge a few dollar millionaires on commissions and omissions and bribes and kickbacks from the war effort AS LONG AS THERE IS  a REAL STRATEGIC VICTORY this year.

Tons of people associated with the new regime are enjoying the gravy train once more.  A cabal runs the nation and it is becoming more and more autocratic remniscient of the Premedasa days.  And no one is allowed to question the incompetence and failures.  IS THE WAR REALLY WINNABLE? IF SO I HOPE SO because I dont want to see more top officers, and top politicians sending their children off to top schools or Dartmouth at SL tax payer expense and to see more champagne, Pajeros, and more death without a real result.

MR is doing stuff not even Premedasa did; for example going outside the professional Foreign service to appoint a Foreign Secy.  This is not a good sound of an intelligent leader. He is allowing the pathetic cinema like personality cult to grow.  Cardboard cutouts and the jokers like Mervyn are making a mockery of sycophantic behavior.  Lets hope sanity and truth will hit him soon so that we dont fall deeper into a corrupt abyss in the pretext of fighting a war. . ....This is indeed the last chance for us to win and defeat the LTTE and restore hope.  The JVP is right: It said this government is worse than previous ones vis-a-vis corruption.  And they are part of the Government !! How many cabinet ministers do we need to win this war?

You talk more sensibly than most on this forum.
Very few are critical of the Govt and leaders.
Most are over eager to eliminate LTTE. Even if, I repeat, even if LTTE can be eliminated what kind of SL Govt leaders have we got to put up with?

What most don't seem to think about is that over the last couple of decades the war with LTTE was being used by Govt leaders for their personal gain.
No leader seems interested in the country. Ordinary people seems to be carried away by whay they say.

Sit down and think lads!
