New Delhi/Colombo • A total of 3,500 tonnes of food bought in India have arrived in Sri Lanka’s scarcity-hit Jaffna peninsula, and a minister said yesterday that more shipments were expected in the coming weeks.
Bought by Colombo in Tamil Nadu, the varied food items sailed from Chennai midnight on Wednesday and reached the port of Point Pedro in Jaffna before midnight, Sri Lankan Minister Douglas Devananda said.

Why not, I don't see Prabha is feeding them. Prabha's ships are filled with weapons. The average weight of a Tamil person living in LTTE area has gone down since LTTE took over. The biggest revenge that LTTE can do against the GOVT is to laying down arms and handing over the affected and people needs rehabilitation to the GOVT. _________________ .... inspire me |

Ok, but seriously, qualifying Devanada as a savior of Tamils in oposition to Prabaharan is quite silly. In fact, the TNA had a lot more to do with the shipment of food through their recent meetings with Karunanidhi and Singh |
