Is it true that previous traitors were only given a slap on the wrist and simply discharged from serivce?
Past, present and future traitors should face Rajapakse' neck tie.

 all for money
These 3 guys did it for money.
The crime they committed is nothing much compared with what has been done by top level politicians and govt officials who take commissions from defence related supply contracts.
Some of those amounts have been enough to buy a palace in London or to buy 5 luxury houses in Australia. Those cases also can easily be brought to justice.

 Traitors of the Nation
These traitors should know that they are sacrificing many innocent life for money. They should be given death sentence, as they have done criminal acts equivalent to murderers.
These people do not have simple brains to understand that they are sacrificing future of the nation, they have forgotten where their relations, children going to live.
Worst than Animals, wild animals will never do such low level things to destroy their own herd.

Yoda Malli,
Prostitutes too spread their legs for money. There three Offices are DOGS!
These traitors should be hanged in public. Collaborating with internationally condemn terrorists while holding a high office and giving information to kill your own colleagues is inexcusable and cannot be compared to your commission getters of defence supplies (I condemn that too).

In the past, such criminals migrated to US and heard bought businesses and sent their children to universities for fully paid higher education. Do we know the names of these people?
If they are guilty, they deserve the capital punishment. I bet they will come back to the civilian world as if nothing seriously happened. Look what happened to those who expose the intelligence unit including Ranil.

That's how you describe Sarath Fonseka, who designed the Muhamalai move as a showcase, to go to Mahendra Percy with the good news of fait accompli. In the process, he scarificed a number of soldiers and leaders with their weapons.
Giving tips to LTTE would take a life or two. Stupid decision to take a team of mean would just wipe them out.
How can Sarath Fonseka be spared there?

 Corruption......
Yes, I agree - they should be given the maximum punishment if convicted.
But the death penalty is non-existant in Sri Lanka. Even potta Naufer will live until his natural death.
My earlier point was that these 3 military guys are some unlucky ones in a heavily corrupt government system. Some school principals also been caught while taking bribes.
Since '77 the level of corruption in public service increased exponentially, no Govt tried to stop it. Now already 30 yrs means we have a full generation who do not know the proper disciplined system of Government.
I think these 3 military men would not have got into this mentality if all their senior officers were 100% honest and free of any form of corruption.
The only possible way to erradicate corruption is to start from the very top.
HE the President should make sure that all cabinet ministers are 100% honest.
Each minister should ensure that all his deputies, secretaries, dept directors, corporation chairmans are 100% honest.
Then automatically the lower level officers will get corrected and the entire system will be free of corruption.
As I know in '60s some 3 or 4 cabinet ministers were sacked for some corruption charges. How about re-introducing such measures ?

Dear friends
Wishing everyone & their families a Happy New Year.
Let us wish peace in Sri Lanka for all communities.
The GOSL should reintroduce the capital punishment.
Coming to the subject, these officers should be tried and proven guilty deserves capital punishment. Sri Lanka stinks with corruption MR should start cleaning up starting with his cabinet, if he does not he will also fall as a victim. Sadly there is no such signal in taking action.

Is this statement correct?
"The rebels have been fighting for an independent homeland in the north and east for the country's 3.1 million ethnic Tamils, who have suffered decades of discrimination by the majority Sinhalese."
Can anyone prove this statement?

Now you believe that Srilankan soldiers been killed(96) once the LTTE captured them in Mahmulai.. That was barbaric.Their hands were tigght behind and shot back of head. Their bodies were intact.(not like they were engaged in fighting). Once you capture an enemy you have right to protect. This is not happening in blood thurst LTTE. LTTE has no CULTURE.Do you understand. Prabas and other bog shots children living in the west having lavish life and higher education(Doctor,Lawyer, economists etc). One day they too wiill be punished by the GOD!.
