Post Sri Lanka Rebels Say Political Units Are Prevented From Work
Bloomberg,  Wed Mar 22 20:53:30 EST 2006

March 23 (Bloomberg) -- Sri Lanka's Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam said the government set conditions for the return of rebel political workers to areas under military control, violating understandings reached at talks last month in Geneva.

``We reject the concept of anybody laying conditions for our members doing political work with our people,'' the LTTE's Peace Secretariat said yesterday, according to TamilNet.

The rebels earlier this week said Sri Lanka navy vessels shelled four coastal villages on March 20. Sri Lanka's military said its vessels were fired on by rebels. Suspected rebels fired at an army post yesterday northeast of Jaffna, the government said in a statement on its Web site.

The LTTE's attitude is that only they could set conditions to enhance their interest while the others are prohibited to do so. The Norwegian would only take LTTE's demands' into their account.  The so-called international community and the co-chairs would not mind what the LTTE's real motives as long as they delay any aid packages promised by them to help the reconstruction of Tsunami devastated Sri Lanka.

Every one knew what the LTTE's "political wing" did since the CFA came into force in favour of the LTTE.  Now they(LTTE) like to continue with where they were stopped from, with the new round of CFA talks.

Could some one shed some light on issues raised by the government for allowing terrorist return for the socalled political works in cleared areas?

Refrain from Extrotion, Killings, Abductions etc..? Certainly terrorists have all right to reject such unreasonable conditions.

If they want to do political activities, WHY NOT GIVE UP ARMS and involve 100% in political activities?

having both feet in two boats is impossible while having each of them in two boats will not acceptable in logic....SO
try to put both feet in one boat to go safer...

BUT  Terrorists will never do it...because they are afraid....in fear.....name TIGER does not mean they have the guts of a tiger.... :P

Now, can anyone tell us, to the forum, what activities of LTTE are categorised as political activities???
