Post No more talks at the Chateau de Bossey
Shimali Senanayake in Colombo,  Sun Mar 19 12:10:54 EST 2006

    The next round of talks between the government and the Tamil Tiger
rebels will not take at the Chateau de Bossy, officials said.
<p>
Among the reasons for moving out of the chateau was that the venue was
already booked during the April 19-21 period, officials involved in
the peace process said on condition of anonymity.
The chateau situated in Celigny, just outside the Swiss capital Geneva

Post Who are these people? What are their priorities?
Who are these people?? Are they from Sri Lanka or are they out of touch with reality? People like Rohitha Bogollagama should be classified as dangerous criminals. In the recent past he had a luxury suite that was quite out of this world as his office furnished with the most extravagant materials purchased at most exorbitant prices. His son was always around when I went to meet the good minister and was allowed to listen and even correct me in the most classified state matters.  Why are these people allowed to do these things? Are they not accountable to anyone? Do they even give a second thought about the millions of people who do not have a roof over their heads?  I can understand that these people refusing to reside there if it did not offer basic facilities but  it is inconceivable  to think that such is the case. Maybe an attic with a low roof is exactly what is needed when they bump their high headed popmpous heads on the roof to give them a reality check. Maybe its not the roof at all......just that they walk ten feet up in the air all the time.

I am surprised that you have never heard of a politician like this. Except for a very few like Lakshman Kadirgamar, most of the others are serving themselves, relatives, and supporters, not the public they promised under oath to serve.
