    Sri Lanka has said it is against replacing Norway as its truce facilitator.The Hindu newspaper said Friday Colombo has said there was no change in its position on Norway as the facilitator to the peace process.
"Our position remains unchanged," said Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, media minister and cabinet spokesperson.

No one liners please

If MR were able to get the salmon eating busybodies out of SL, would he have not done it? Why does he risk the wrath of the JVP and the people who voted him in? And again, the JVP knowing fully well what is possible and what is not, why do they continue to make this demand? Is it not to hoodwink us and give us false hopes? The fools that we are, we will continue to vote for them in the hope that they will do what they say. We continue to go backwards while our neighbour India, continues to be coem a financial supe power.

These are very clever tactics by the PA.

Even before the Nov 05 elections, Mahinda R and other SLFP leaders knew that it is the right thing to retain Norway and let them continue with the peace process. But they also knew that they can get the votes with JVP/JHU's "Kick the Norway" slogan.  

Even now it is good for the Govt to let JVP/JHU shout against Norway.

There is no difference between MR & Ranil on what they really do.
Only significance is Ranil will talk what he is going to do.
MR will talk what he is not going to do.

MR is learning fast how to enjoy his position without inviting trouble from Tigers. He knows only way he can be safe is to appease the tigers a bit and keep them quiet until he finish his term. May be JVP and JHU learning that too.(Anga beragana wada karanna)
