Post Corruption
If investigations are done on the activities of all other govt departments and public corporations - similar reports can be produced.

All listed in the report and the person above the public trustee (permanent secretary ?) should be punished.

Why the commision recommend "transfer" as a punishment?. He can go and spoil another organisation !

Lankaputhra,
Word "CORRUPTION" is not in our vocabulary but for these crooks it is a simple word without much gravity attached to it. If you are a crook you won't think of punishing another crook. You will try your best to protect him or her and show the public some punishment has been given by transferring him to another organisation. But he will have no fear or shame in committing similar frauds because he knows he has full protection from the top. This is our Sri Lanka.

Post I agree
Yes, I agree with bweera. In SLanka "Corruption" has no meaning or else interpreted as a routine thing like breakfast, lunch, taking a bath etc.

In early '70s Nigeria was a oil-rich country. Still they are a big oil exporter but a very poor country. The whole country was ruined by massive corruption at all levels - politicians (big/small), public service, police, military etc. The military took over the Govt when civilian Govt was corrupt but they were more corrupt than civilian govt, just within a few years.

It is very unfortunate to see that Sri Lanka is getting closer to such status gradually. Very soon SL Govt going to award contracts to investigate and extract crude oil deposits. I wonder whether it is going to be successful, if so whether going to develop the country.

Post Enemy of Sri Lankans: LTTE or Govt Officials?
Sri Lankans have to decide who really the enemy is:  The external Terrorists (Tigers) or the Internal Terrorists (Corrupt Govt. Officials).

Both.  There is no difference in LTTE and politicians in south.

All are in terrorism and corruption in big scale exploiting the poor, children, low cast, powerless, disable …….

There is no ethnic issue in Sri Lanka. Only issue is a handful of power hungry maniacs both in north and south.

This is the bottom line.
