rights, launched a scathing verbal attack against former President
Chandrika Kumaratunga. Mr.Dissanayke's comments included considerably unflattering comments about the former President and her behaviour.

First he must explain the source of his ill gotten wealth - even though the inept Bribery Commission appears to lack enough expertise to file an effective, legally correct indictment against him.
If not, even Anuruddha Ratwatte - wose ill gotten wealth is treated similarly - my stage a comeback.
It is to be noted that Ratnasiri Wickremanayake who doled out Rs 900 million to establish a Sri Lanka Rubber Goods Manufacturing & Export Corporation - which never materialised - the money vanished into thin air - is now Prime Minister ! There was a preliminay inquiry but now the matter is buried !
Naturally, the Helping Hambantota Man selected him as his sidekick !
SB the well known political thug who subverted all elections for the SLFP earlier & later for the UNP is now being adulated by the hangers - on who hope for some 'crumbs from the table'.
His illness vanished as soon as he was released - this shows the hypocrisy of his doctors - such doctors exist to assist people like SB, Anurudda Ratwatte & Thilanga Sumathipale serve jail time in hospitals. These doctors are are a blot on the medical profession.
Such corrupt, dishonest, & criminal politicians can survive only in this 'dharma dweepa'.

Such a pity that all these politicians cannot be put behind bars - permanently

Simple solution my friends. Do not vote for him.

If he is with the UNP, tell your local village UNPers that you will not vote for the Party as long as he is contesting. If you have friends in Nuwara Eliya District, ask them not to support him.

If they rig the election, join in a cause to have the election annulled legally.

That is the way unfit people are defeated in a democracy. Don't sit back and whine - DO something!

Let SB then blame the people for their "balu theenduwa" when they reject him and other politicians like him.

Remember, if we elect them, we deserve them.

Mr. President should think of amalgamating elelctorates when ever it permits. that will reduces number of opportunits cheating the public.

SB Dissanayake is an opportunit just open the big mouth for his advantage. I also support if this guy can be jailed again.

Whatever the reasons behind release of SBD, MR not only made another mistake, but also set a bad example by releasing someone for just being a politician irrespective of the fact that he committed criminal and other type of commissions and omissions.

Unless these leaders of (opportunity)country stop aiming goals of short term benefits just to sustain in power and prolong their leadership, the country will remain in a stagnant position.

The law should be applied evenly to every members of the society. There should be no one privillaged to sideline the laws of the country.  The upkeeping of law is essential. It shouldn't become low in esteem in the eyes of others.

My personal opinion is that the initial conviction of SB was totally unfair; I doubt if there would have even been a prosecution over the matter in Europe or America. On the other hand there certainly would have been a prosecution over the illicit enrichment charges, which were thrown out in Colombo, so I suppose we can talk about rough justice.

He was CBK's trusted lieutenant and sidekick. He has great organizational skills and the morals of a alley cat.  He was a poor man from a village with a terrible inferiority complex. But he was able to counter the JVP and others to help CBK win. He fell out because of her paranoia and his rank corruption. This man should first explain how he became so rich. By saving everyday ?or by lottery winnings? He is a .. crook who like Anuruddha Ratwatte had doctors being his slaves and did not suffer in jail. He was at Merchant's ward and suddenly he is cured!  HAllelujah A MIRACLE.  Ranil the Ponnaya needs his skills. He knows all the dirt on CBK and now hates her. So he will be used effectively by ponnaya. Dont forget PONNA RANIL ONLY won in 2001 BECAUSE OF SB and GL crossing over.  OTherwise he would have lost that too. CBK made a big mistake by alienating SB. MR is using him now to checkmate CBK and get the SLFP headship. Then SB might rejoin MR.  Not a bad choice given how incompetent and arrogant CBK became even though as a matter of fact she may not have been corrupt. SB wanted to be PM and would have been the best choice, but she felt threatened by him and appointed Ratnasiri an useless regional guy with no chance ever of being a nationa level person who could have threated her paranoid Excellency CBK.  So SB got pissed off at not being appointed PM.   SB should be asked to declare his assets and explain how his sons can go to Australia when I am a doctor and I cannot send my son to Australia.  And his murderous sons were behaving badly too.  He and Anurudhha should become jailcell buddies NOT at Merchant's ward.

SB has been put through mill several times over and cleared by various courts  and commissions. Please leave him  alone now.Why don't we   now  test PM Ratnasiri  for Rubber Money   ,  Mahinda  R  for Hambantota Fund and various Military officers(commissioners)  for arm deals.    Can some body please tell me what happend to the Chief Justices women in the car incident ?
