    KILINOCHCHI, Sri Lanka, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Talks between Sri Lanka and Tamil Tigers next week will determine if there is peace or war, the rebels said, branding President Mahinda Rajapakse's refusal to consider a separate Tamil homeland as "childish".

Suspected rebel attacks in December and January all but destroyed a Norway-brokered 2002 ceasefire, but violence fell after the two sides agreed to meet in Switzerland. The rebels said that did not mean the country was further from a return to a two-decade civil war.

"That is totally dependent on the outcome of this meeting," S.P. Thamilselvan, head of the political wing of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), told Reuters in an interview late on Wednesday.

You are comparing politics with Cricket.
In Cricket, even a first “dayer” will know about the "obvious" stump. But in politics even the "goal posts"often missed- Deliberately! for more than 50 years. It is an entrenched tradition.

Doesn't matter, MR has do  more home work or not.
He is taken for a ride, By whom will become obvious soon!

another well edited news. Why the news items say who they are.  I read in another news item that the people caught were Sinhalese and Muslim and not a single one was a Tamil.  

Why I am pointing out this ( as a person living in Toronto) is, people start laughing at us how stupid we are, the news items and how some people just beating the drums to the tune of the news not realizing what really happened.  We lose the credibility of any news items.  Propaganda is being done showing these news clips to the Canadian politicians.  At the end you know who would be the losers.  Report the news correctly or just leave out the news.

A large number of report writers have mushroomed with our civil war in Sri Lanka.

we forgot the basis of this conflict and living in an instant decaffeinated coffee time

LTTE or the Govt cannot decide the war or peace .

remember the time Bala told they hate  Ranil because he tricked ltte into the peace trap.

UNP didn't decide the peace trap it was the International mediators drafted the peace
and presented to the parties  and supply the radio transmitters to ltte and military show in Norway to ltte  and kept silence when Ranil was taking all the credit

LTTE wants the war for a long time but held under the toe of the international mediators
it  screams periodically  but it will only be released to enter into the war only when the Govt decide to think and act independently.

remember LTTE and the Govt was handled in the same way by India for some time in the past.

but be assured the war will start and mass killings will be enjoyed and neither party will win though  an illusion will be created  that the party which listens most to the international mediators' recommendation is the overall winner by few points.

can we stop the war by any means?
 I say  NO. the reasons are
1) We are not FREE people   ,we are ruled by International Leaders through the democracy and economic policies we are force to follow to improve the economy of the country and the people.
2) the international leaders through the democracy and economic policies  can
    create their own prisoners ,puppets and agents ,( presidents , prime ministers,and   terrorists).
, in every country as long as the country depend on them for budget gap

3) the values of the individual cultures created by trial and errors through millenniums are long gone due to the illusion of democracy ( not the true one ,the republic of Plato)(and economic policies have help to get the people out of the cultures and lose the identity)

There for the war will go on until we lose our self and become generic population
which accept the animal instinct  as norm and advancement of morality as aberrant.

If any other way out of this mess Please let us work toward that
