The LTTE has released some 28 children, several of whom were handed
back to their parents while another group consisting of nearly 20 had
been given over to the Education and the Skills Development Centre
(ESDC), the LTTE peace Secretariat announced today.

These children were released through the ICRC, UNICEF and or the
NorhtEast Secretariat on Human Rights (NESOHR). "Eight of them were
handed over to their parents directly. Twenty under-age youths who do
not want to return to their home have been sent to the ESDC," the
Secretariat said.
