    BHARATHA MALLAWARACHI  -   Associated Press Writer  -              COLOMBO, Sri Lanka -  (AP)  Sri Lanka - 's government on Thursday announced the names of three Cabinet ministers who will take part in peace talks with Tamil Tiger rebels later this month.        A Norway-brokered cease-fire between the government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam came under severe strain in recent weeks with frequent violence in Sri Lanka - 's ethnic Tamil-majority north and east.

Why this news item does not indicate the names of 3 ministers.
It keep on repeating all the history about the conflict, which is of no use to the reader.

Why not choose Prof. GL Peris or Milinda Maragoda as advisors at least. GL seems to have built a rapport with Anton "Red-light" Balasingham from previous talks. Surely their experience will be useful.  Why is it that this govt can only come up  incompetents such as Nimal Siripala de Silva to lead the delegation? There must be more educated, well informed people to choose from.

Yes. Then the negotiations can start from where it stopped last time. Now they have to start all over again re-inventing the wheel.
