Powerful explosion rocks eastern Batticaloa
Shimali Senanayake , Sun Jan 22 23:01:26 EST 2006
A claymore mine explosion shook Batticaloa on Monday, just as the Tamil Tigers chief negotiator boarded a government helicopter to the rebel capital of Kilinochchi.

At least three soldiers were killed and two injured in the blast in Urani, about three kilometers from the town, said Rohan Abeywardene, police chief in the area.

He said the soldiers were on a foot patrol when the explosion occurred. Clearing operations were in progress.

Murder and some blood is LTTE's way of saying "you are welcome to Sri Lanka". They are a shame for Tamils who had a great history in Sri Lanka.

It was originally manufactured by the USA although I would imagine its manufactured around the world now. If i remember right, its named after a Scottish sword or something like that.

I thought when you are proLTTE, you are not supposed to doubt/condemn LTTE atrocities? All LTTE acts are always right, isn't it?

Don't you get it. The new LTTE/SLMM line is that it is "civilians" doing it. The LTTE has always been happy to blame their atrocities on innocent Tamil civilians.

Now, Tamil civilians are attacking LTTE mostly in North.
So this is LTTE's way to change those civilians attention to East.

Target!
According to K.V. Balakumaran's speech last week, this kind of attacks will be the target to bring the Karuna groups attacks in the peace talks. There is a truth in that.
Till todate, if MR is willing to the peace, why can't he remove those shadow groups from the east, as signed in the CFA (even though if GOSL can't move from the living areas of high sec. zone).
For LTTE Pease and War are seperate things this time. GOSL's plan is to drag the talks as usual it has happened in the past 4 years. But this time around it will be different, that is the message LTTE want to send, by these attacks.

Sometimes, it's nice to have rants like this. Breaks the monotone. Thank you.

Reality is not a good aroma for word twisting (usually) rants.
Wait and see.

Don't you remember the LTTE said Karuna was a minor internal matter? Surely you don't want GOSL to disobey them and interfere?
