Now instigator live happily ever after with his children with all the money he earned with corruption.
Those poor soldiers out of obedience and following their leader they engaged in killings. Those soldiers would die most probablt and their families will be in sorrow until they die and they suffer while they live.
IS THAT THE JUSTICE?

 'King Kekelle' born again
It reminds me much of the old King Kekille as we the punchi Singho's have no hope in this country's legal system and fallen as much as a african banana republic.
This is shame on this legal system as well as giving a very stong signal for VVIP's that they are above the law and do whatever/whenever they wish.
Further it says in the judgement that the prosecution .. at AG's dept. have done one cardinal sin by naming the wrong Ratwatte brother in one of the polling booths and this had done the trick for Ratwatthe's.
It is pity for the young soldiers as well as their kith and kin as they have just served their master.

 Sri Lnkan (In)Justice
I thought something wrong with the Sri lankan justice system when they arrested Ratwatte and sons. They don't arrest rich and powerful people.
Finally they proved our corrupt and ineffective justice system is still alive and kicking
Those judges should be ashamed of themselves

The Judgment in the Udathalawinna Murder case
So the army officers just went to the polling stations and decided on their own initiative to shoot dead the voters for no apparent reason or motive. I thought there must be something called 'mens rea' in a criminal case. Daniels come to judgment indeed and three hearty cheers for the Judiciary.

Wow! Hurray Sri Lankan legal system! Now you can understand why terrorist organizations like LTTE can survive. Money can buy the legal system, it can buy the military plans, it can send the worng people to jail, and it can make the police sleep, ALL in THIS GREATEST COUNTRY in THE WORLD (Loken Utum Rata Lankawai, Lankawai Sri Lankawai). Maybe Chandrika had to give up her plans to by the Royal Palace after these heavy spending months. Mr. Daya Wettasinghe, the notorious arms dealer, who made a lot of money with Ratwatte must have had to cut some flesh off him.
God bless Sri Lanka.

According to the Sri Lankan constituition we have a legal system. If you ask an old timer Member of Parliament they will cheerfully tell you this is a lasting legacy of the British a democratic government and a free and impartial judicial system.
The release of the former defense minister and his sons is an example of bribery and rich politicians buying themselves out of a spot of bother. I however believe the 5 soldiers should face the firing squad if they didnt report the incedent to their commander. If they did reprt this incedent to their superiors then why isnt more military people on trial??

 Sharks v. sprats
This judgement, though totally absurd, might serve a purpose. It will send a clear message to the ordinary man: you be the pawn; you will pay for it.
