Very unusual move by the LTTE. I wonder why they haven't condemned any attacks on SLN, granade attacks on check points, many assasinations even during CFA etc. But, they vehemantly deny their involvement for any of those and blamed thirdy party, paramilitary and most recently civilians for all the attacks.

My kid also plays similar games with me when he is scared. When he says, "dady, hurting the dog is not good, is't it?", I know that he has done something to the dog and the dog is angry. This is why I say, LTTE is a coward!

Post so its not the ltte..
the ltte says its not them. well, are the offending groups tamil? if so, we could categorise the attack as part of the wider tamil liberation movement. it doesnt need ltte's stamp of approval to go under that heading. if tamils carried out the attack then its part of their so called liberation. now it seems the enemies of that liberation are the norwegians...

wow!
simply WOW!

Post Col Karuna's condemns LTTE attack on Norwegian Peace Monitor
(Asiantribune.com): A statement issued by TamilEeela Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) has strongly condemned the attack on the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) office located at Lake Road, in Batticoloa on the night of January 13 (Friday).

The statement also said that this is an attempt by Prabhakaran to turn the east also into a .. battle field like the north. Tamil people do not want war and Prabhakaran should not use their territory to wage his brutal attacks, the statement said.

The statement also warned the Tamil Tigers led by Velupillai Prabhakaran to stop committing barbarous acts against peace monitors which are violations of the Tamil code of conduct in wars.

The procedures for conduct of war are set out into he Tamil classics and according to those rules, messengers and peacekeepers like illustrious Auveiyar should be treated with due respect.
