Post “Computer jilmart” & “manual jillmart” of Amarasinghe st
DNA goes door-to-door, claims web petition blocked by Govt.

I could access this site from the very source that say’s it is blocked, mind you from SL. It is likely the hiccups are due to the clumsy way of them using a service provider; even those out side SL experienced this.
http://www.adaderana.lk/news.php?nid=7381

If you visit the site you would find repetition of the same name without any filtering system. Somawansa’s so called “computer jilmart” in the most crude form or ignorance.

As part of family Danuna has signed (no20) even from hiding, good to see; family matters. I went through the list eagerly to find some of the names. I could not find RW, Hakeem, Mano, Mangala, Karu, Tissa and the prominent UNPers. Well have they forgotten, this man? Well it’s used cannon.

I could not find Vijitha Herath, Anura Kumara, Tilvin and the clan either, what’s the logic there? Simply not serious, but haven’t finished using SF.

What is the target number they are focusing? 1million? Day one it was 1956, day two 400. Let’s say 1000 a day, @ this rate it will take 1000 days, not worth. Hope they understood that this online is good for only as a propaganda tool, let’s put the blame on the Govt. and get out by going door to door, which they could always claim they did but not necessarily to do either. All you need is some papers and some different pens and you carders to perform the “manual jillmart” of Amarasinghe style.

What is the purpose of an online petition? Does it have the same credibility as a real life petition?

Sometimes they do - There was a pettion about Rizana Nafeek who'd been sentenced to beheading in KSA - it was given a good deal of publicity and many people signed it

To me the purpose of an online petition is to create an impact internationally. The issue itself here is more of national, even in a national sense it has not come up as a huge issue amongst the public.

I agree with you, within SL a real life petition (manual) would create a bigger impact, and provided it’s done in an organized manner. As I mentioned before UNP has no or little interest in this. JVP has made it a one day noise.
