Sure thing, you guys..
The good General is held under the rules of the land, within the geographical boundaries of the land.. He hasn't been shipped off to a leased island off shore, a CIA black prison in Syria or anything like that.. so don't worry on that account. Heck! He even got a lawyer and a visit from his wife a week or so after being placed in custody .. unllike for example, young Omar Khadr.
He's subject to military jurisdiction and quite possibly civil as well - he hasn't been declared an "illegal combatant" (whatever THAT is) - nothing like that. Nor has his constitutional rights been revoked ..
He's even been before the Supreme Court as well - something the inhabitants of Bagram or Guantanamo Bay never got
One US-style treatment that was NOT afforded to the general was being placed on a plank, face covered with a wet rag and water poured over it.. you call it "waterboarding", right ? The SriLankans must have slipped up somewhere.. Should they include that so that you guys can be more satisfied ?
So really, SL can assure you of full satisfaction..
'nuff said!
