Sure thing, you guys..

The good General is held under the rules of the land, within the geographical boundaries of the land.. He hasn't been shipped off to a leased island off shore, a CIA black prison in Syria or anything like that.. so don't worry on that account. Heck! He even got a lawyer and a visit from his wife a week or so after being placed in custody .. unllike for example, young Omar Khadr.

He's subject to military jurisdiction and quite possibly civil as well  - he hasn't been declared an "illegal combatant" (whatever THAT is) - nothing like that. Nor has his constitutional rights been revoked ..

He's even been before the Supreme Court as well - something the  inhabitants of Bagram or Guantanamo Bay never got

One US-style treatment that was NOT afforded to the general was being placed on a plank, face covered with a wet rag and water poured over it.. you call it "waterboarding", right ? The SriLankans must have slipped up somewhere.. Should they include that so that you guys can be more satisfied ?

So really, SL can assure you of full satisfaction..

'nuff said!

Recently NATO gang bombed 45 innocent civilians in Afghanistan.
Wonder which law of which land was followed.

Anyway, back to SL, hope the agencies involved
defuse the Fonseka episode that has engulfed the island.

Post wow amazing duplicity by the US
Dear Blake, you are a .. goddamned hypocrite. Why the hell dont you release all those held in Guantanmao first? or why dont you tell us why Barack Hussein Obama is backtracking on trying terrorist suspect in civilian courts? Why is Sheik Khalid's trial going to be moved out of NYC back to Military trial? Why are do you ship people off to black ops camps in places such as Egypt, Lithuvania? Stop your crap. You were caught with your money and pants down because you sided with a certain person during this election.

This does not absolve the GOSL but i wanted to get that out of my system. I wish the government would have an open trial unlike the US and charge him in civilian courts like those in the 1962 coup were;  That can teach the hypocritical US a lesson.

Oh that ? because they apologised - that makes it all OK, right ?
Here's a thought... "we apologise for arresting the general but he's going to stay in jail anyway"
Maybe the Americans will be happy then..

Now MR can easily get the 2/3rd majority by bashing USA, UK, Milliband.
sometimes it is difficult to figure out who is in whose camp.

US is not doing any favors to SF here. MR will use this to say I told you he was in the pay of the US hypocrites and for the common man this is proof enough.

How about saddam's mock trial? Maybe they want us to follow in their footsteps... speaking of which, no right thinking sri lankan would ever toss a shoe at MR.... unless he was one legged.
