Kalutara dist big time to MR;;

Galle Dist is unsure...

 BUT LOOK AT AMBALANGODA!!

Mahinda Rajapaksha      33,488      62.79%
Sarath Fonseka     19,191     35.98%

BALAPITIYA (caste center)
Mahinda Rajapaksha      23,634      64.93%
Sarath Fonseka     12,198     33.51%

GALLE is the exception
Sarath Fonseka      27,625      51.12%
Mahinda Rajapaksha     25,797     47.74%

And in Badulla also MR is ahead but by smaller margins.  SF's hope is Western Province and Nuwara Eliya like Ranil did in 2005.

Dehiwela once again went to UNP SF by almost the same margins as it went to RW in 2005
Dehiwela went big to RW last time too but this time the margin is lower.

DEHIWELA:  2005 MR 41%; RW 57%

This time MR 43%, SF 55%

Percentages will not matter because as long as SF can pull these margins because the absolute number of votes are greater.. BUT SO FAR It is a good indication of why MR is loved in the countryside.

Sarath Fonseka 23,290    40.24%

in 2005, (LAST TIME) MR 49.04% RANIL 49.69%

There is a clear trend in the Sinhala areas.

Post I think it is almost decided
A lead of 1.1 million votes is about 10% of the overall vote, this is too hard to overcome for SF given the trend for the rest of the results.
