Tiran is the guy allegedly carried money and paid to Pirubaharan to stop Tamils voting in the last presidential elections.  MR knows at this juncture (few days for the election) attacking a person like Tiran will have a negative impact on his campaign.  This attack is bit fishy to me...

Just the day before Mangala said that Tiran’s life is in danger. Govt spokes persons mentioned that the opposition is planning to set bombs in their own back yard to create sympathy vote. And this happens. It’s any body’s guess. Good that no one was hurt.

I am voting for SF; but this plan looks way too fishy.  Probably carried out by Army ops who support SF; Why would MR be so foolish at this stage when the race is so close?

May Real Buddhism finally emerge someday in Sri Lanka and may the false Piety disappear from the body politic.  WHOEVER wins, it will perhaps not matter to those who do an honest day of work, struggle to make ends meet, pay bills and have a clear conscience.  Only those who have so much to lose or gain will engage in ugly politics. Sri Lanka is not that civilized.

eIf MR has enoug evidence,file action,take him to court and let the jusice system
meet out the punishement.If guilty let them all rot in our SL prison which is akin to hell.

No one has the right to throw bombs.murder and butcher people even if they are guilty
about high cimes.
But alas our just system is in shambles and MR has taken over.

JUstice system failed from '58 to date.
Then we graduated to cluster bombing,chemical bombing,canon firering,
machine gun firing -now that has stopped
and we go back to age old times of throwing bombs,clubbing to death
all in the south amognst and between the southern peace loving people.
