How on earth could any govt ,or Tamil for that matter,trust the SL govt when it comes to safety and freedom of returnees to a place that just finished exterminating thousands of LTTE and civilians with absolutely no mercy.

Tamils have nothing to worry about between now and the end of the election. Both Rajapakse and Fonseka
will promise anything except resurrecting Prabhakaran from the ashes. They would promise that too except
that it is biologically impossible and even the STUPID sri lankan electorate wouldn't buy that.

You are absolutely right Mr. Arab.  This is mainly because GOSL should have allowed LTTE to operate freely so there will be no bombs, killing of civilians, no kidnapping of Tamil children.  If that situation prevailed I am sure any Tamil asylum seeker can return to Sri Lanka. Now LTTE is not there and it is dangerous to return.

Forget about election promises, I think you should suggest Tamil Diaspora who support/ed LTTE terrorism to fund a research project to bring Pirubaharan into life from the ashes you are talking about.  Sri Lankan voters were so stupid to elect MR in the last election because he took care of Pirubaharan
